Sir Alaric Thorne |
|
Alaric Thorne, half brother to Sir Capt.Tristan Thorne, born a bastard to a nobleman and a commoner has lived up to that given tiltle all his life; until moving to York. Influenced by the nobility of the Knights of York, Alaric set his goal early to attain this prestigious rank. Normally he would have just bought his title through bribary or extortion, but this time it would be different. Excellence in feats of arms was the only way to be a combat knight.
After training with his reaquainted half brother and advancing in station, Alaric enlisted in the King's own Musketeers. With his new "brothers" he brought home The Banner from war by defeating greater odds in other lands, and winning the attention of Their Imperial Majesties his first time fighting in full steel armor.
Eventually as the Musketeers of York's numbers started to dwindle Alaric soon realized a soldier in the King's army, however noble a postion, would soon be dead! Why risk all for naught? Then Alaric was approached by his good friend Wright Bentwood to fight with the Bentwood Raiders, a band of skilled fighters and rouges the lot of them. Severing his other allegiances (the merc way) Alaric was now a sword for hire. Many battles have been fought and all won by the mercs. Alaric, true to the promise he made to himself, has now met all the necessary qualifications to ascend into the most worthy order of combat Knight of York... and also "persuaded" the King to make him Crown Marshall (no money has ever changed hands or scandalous information about the king been brought to light). However, Carpe per diem (not lit. "seize the money") can still be heard whenever Alaric and the Raiders come to fight!
